Chart of Accounts: Fundamentals Tutorial

The Chart of Accounts (COA) represents the structure that is used to organize and report financial data. The selection of a new financial systems offers the opportunity to redesign the Chart of Accounts in a way that takes advantage of the functionality in a modern solution that will improve tracking and reporting capabilities across the University.

We have created a web-based user-friendly tutorial in EDGE Learning that explains the benefits of redesigning the Chart of Accounts, explains progress to-date, compares the current chart to a future state prototype chart design, and provides additional information on future steps in the COA redesign process.

We look forward to engaging with you as we take steps towards modernizing our financial system. Each college and division within the University has a liaison who is engaged with this project.
